Thoughts on Writing: Having lunch with a writer.

If you are having lunch with a writer and she suddenly stares off in the distance, it probably means she is writing a story in her head. 

Be patient with her. 

For some writers, stories come from nowhere.

Writing is a mysterious and spiritual process.

The story must be captured when it appears.

Forgive the distant look of a writer.

The writer may be oblivious to the food, the conversation and the scene around her.

She is totally observed in the process of extracting the story.

Next, she will probably take out her phone or a pen and paper and begin writing furiously.

Her thoughts will return to lunch and the conversation, once the story has been written.
